I chose to analyze the LED Window Thermometer from "thinkgeek.com". The product is made of an LED screen that displays the minimum, current and maximum temperatures. The screen is made to be attached to the outside of a window where it picks up the temperature. It also runs on AA batteries and is easy to detach from the window frame.
This product has low relative advantage because it's not an improvement upon your normal thermometer. This product is just another medium through which you can check the temperature outside. Aside from tbere being cheaper things you could by out in the world to check the temperature, there are also free ways. People wouldn't want to buy a window sized thermometer if there' a smaller or even a non-tangible one available.
This product is extremely easy to use and understand, thus making it a low complexity product. It's as simple as putting in the batteries and then looking at it. It displays all the information on the screenso there's nothing to actually touch to make it work. This would in essence make it a technology that people would likely adopt, however due it's uselessness it probably won't sell much.
This product is also easy to try before purchasing therefore giving it high trialability. This would increase adoption, but again due to it being a useless piece of tech it won't sell much.
The benefits of the LED thermometer are immediately observable. The thermometer is visible right in the front of it and the owner doesn't have to touch anything to operate it. By definition this would increase the rate of adoption.
This product is consistent with society's beliefs and values therefore giving it high compatibilty. As an LED thermometer that's only operation is to display the temperature, I believe that giving people the knowledge of knowing how hot or cold it is outside is important. I also don't think that the country has any major issues with this technology because it's benefits are so immediately observable.
This product has no adaptability. It was created for one purpose and that was to display the temperature outside. There are few ways in which this can be modified, thus making it likely that it will be adopted at a slower rate.

Hidden Vision Flip-Out Television: https://www.hvtvmounts.com/shop/

STANDARD FLIP OUT - for 30" to 32" TV

This new technology is a flip-around television that can look like a painting, or serve as an entertainment screen.  This idea appeals to those who care about the interior artwork of their home, and would rather see a painting on their wall than a black TV screen.  It can also be used over one’s bed, allowing you to watch TV while lying in bed, as it can fold out and hang horizontally above the bed.

·         Relative Advantage
Unlike most televisions, it functions as two things: a painting with frame, and a television screen.  This provides an aesthetic element that most dormant TV’s lack.   It also has the other advantage of flipping out to different angles, giving the viewer more options of angles to watch from.
·         Observability
Is appealing because it can function as a decorative painting and an entertainment center.  The rack design is sleek and minimalistic, which people are attracted to.
·         Trialability
Difficult to try out in your own home because it needs to be installed, but it can be seen in the store on display.  People can see how it works but can not really try it out in a personal setting.
·         Compatibility
I think it would fit in to modern culture nicely.  It goes along with the trend of saving space with sleek designs and having multipurpose technologies.  Many people enjoy paintings in their house, as well as flat screen TV’s, so this product would be compatible with current societal trends.
·         Complexity/Adaptability
This idea is not too complex, it seems pretty easy to be able to flip around, and the TV should work like any other flat screen so people should already know how to use it for the most part.  Many people have paintings in their rooms, as well as televisions.  Having two in one would be a revolutionary addition to home living rooms.  I think if it was marketed well and offered at an affordable price people would buy it.

This new flip out television seems like a practical technology that I would really like in my home.  The only problem for me would be affordability.  If I could afford this product, however, I don’t see why I wouldn’t buy it.  It does a great job of being functional and appealing, and the idea is rather fresh.

Jetman Wing: Is a wing with two meters span and four Jet-Cat P200 motors which enables a man two fly freely like the birds.

Jetmans Relative Advantage over current flying machines such as a plane is extremeley low at this stage of the invention. You cant get started at ground level and the wing doesn`t allow you to land safely on the ground like an airplane either. For that a you will need a parachute. At this time you need an airplane to get started with the flying experience of the Jetman wing, and therefore makes it too much of an hassle to prefer this technology.
If we compare it to it`s lookalike, the Hangglider, you will be able to fly faster, longer and aerobatic flights. Although it`s more expensive, heavyer and difficult maintenance.
Therefore it provides a relatively low advantage over current possibilities.

The Observability of an Jetman wing, cause of the size and wieght makes it hard to be an easy marketing job. People wouldnt be able to carry it around showing it off like a small gadget. Although if seen tried out, you are guaranteed exposure and attention for everyone who walks around with the same childhood dream: Be able to fly freely along with the birds. Persuading them to buy one of their own. I know i would if the funds and possibility were there.

The Jetman wing offers a negative Trialability since you would need flying lessons and experience with the device before using it. Not to even mention the need for a airplane or helicopter to get it started.
With this beeing an unknown experience for most people it`s not known how much such a device would cost and which restrictions the government will apply before using it. You would need courses and manuals, even new avation rules, making it very Complex for the market.
The aviation buisness is controlling most of the airspace known to mankind at these days.

The Compatibility of the Jetman wing won`t be a threat to them at this point couse of the many disadvantages mentioned above. Although with a few adjustments and userfriendly factors, i would imagine the airplane industry pushing back on this adoption through lobbying and even advertising.
Imagine if a person can walk out the door using the Jetpack wing as transportation from an destination to the next. It would cripple the aviation economic as we know it.
For people who are fanatics of hanggliding i would see this device highly compatable if the price is right. As we see every motorised invention is prefered over an none-motorised option - in most cases.

The Adaptability of this wing is already in the making with a new prototype, smaller and more powerful, which should allow it to take-off from the ground. If this is possible can you imagine it working as a helicopter - standing still mid air someday. The car, plane, helicopter, train - heck, the whole transporting industry should be afraid. Maybe we will see mini Jetman wings transporting letters and packages with the use of gps systems - unmanned. Who needs the postal service!?
A conclution at this time is that its now an easy adoptable technology but it is highly exciting and with some new prototypes i`am sure we will see it adopted slowly in the future. At this date i can`t see it happening though. The downsides in relative advantage, complexity and trialbility are still too strong.
